Letters to My Dear Sir, My Dear Bennett, and A.B. Crandell, 186?, 1871 March 29.

Letter on New York Commissioners of Fisheries stationery, undated, to "My Dear Bennett" says "I send you a few words on Scott and his fishery notions." Another to Mr. Bennett, from the "Office of the New York Citizen, New York, 186-" sends "a short editorial on game laws & the communication relative to Charley Halpine and the Haunting Lie which is claimed by Bourne." Another letter on "New York Citizen, New York, 186-" stationery addresses "My Dear Sir" saying "Mr. Stebbins has informed me that we do not start till tomorrow. At what hour shall we be on board at the latest?" A March 29, 1871, letter to A.B. Crandell indicates that Roosevelt will be happy to join the Rural Club.
